Is it PMS or what?

I was reading a sweet book to Babyluv tonight. It is called "Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch. I actually bought the book online and just got it in the mail today. So, I am reading this great book to my daughter and then all of a sudden (towards the end), I start to cry. I was actually struggling to finish the book. Babyluv said, "Mommy, why are you crying, are you okay?" Daddyluv said (as he is laughing), "Gosh, it must be a really good book."

To quote Sebastian from The Little Mermaid: "What a softshell I'm turning out to be."

I'm still here!

It has been several months since I last posted. Gosh, where do I begin? Well, the Holidays came and went and they were wonderful. It seems like we spent a small fortune on gifts. We definitely need to create a better system or something. Maybe we should draw names next year because it was definitely an expensive ordeal! We ended up buying gifts for 11 adults and 21 children (does not include our own child). Can you say $500+ just on people outside our home!?

Babyluv loved her many gifts and we enjoyed watching her unwrap each and every one of them. A child really makes the Holiday season extraordinary. Fun times!!! It is so amazing to see how much she grows every day - a new word, phrase or facial expression. At age 3, she is such an amazing creature. She has grown so much these past three years. She is also quite intelligent - a trait she must have inherited from the milkman. : ) I remember the day she was born - she could not even hold her little head up. Then, as time passed she began to achieve milestone after milestone (and so did we). Her first smile, giggle, word, phrase, crawling movements, walking movements, etc. It is all a miracle to
me - how did she learn to do that? She is so much fun! How is it that she can always make us smile, even on a horrible day?

As for work, we are still strolling along. Daddyluv and I are still teaching high school. Although we really like our jobs (for the most part), we still wish we could win the lottery so we could BOTH stay at home with Babyluv. However, we consider ourselves blessed to have jobs in a society where unemployment is a way of life for some. Speaking of jobs, I am applying for assistant principal in several school districts. Please pray that God will help place me accordingly. The application/interview process is not so fun and I am a bit nervous!

Today has been a lazy day! They cancelled school today in both our districts due to the icy conditions. It is so cold! Although we enjoy being home, we will not enjoy making up the day in April - when the weather is beautiful! Well, I better go and continue my lounging (in my pajamas wearing no make-up). Babyluv will be waking up from her nap soon.

New Years' Resolutions? No, I did not make any this year because they usually revolve around staying fit, eating healthy and exercising. I never keep them. So, I am going to just play it by ear and be happy!

God bless you all!
