Yucky ear infections...
Yucky...my Babyluv has an ear infection. She has had a cough/runny nose since Tuesday. I knew her runny nose/cough were allergy related and then Friday she said, "Mommy, my ear hurt." I said, "Mommy is taking you to the Dr. tomorrow morning." Well, the diagnosis was what I suspected...an ear infection. So, Babyluv is now taking antibiotics to clear it up. Poor thing. I love the fact that she can now tell me what hurts her or when she feels "yucky." It seems like she gets sick every 8-10 weeks. I absolutely hate it. She never got sick as an infant. As a matter of fact, she did not even take a single antibiotic until she was 14 months old- when she got her 1st ear infection. Since then, she has had about 3 ear infections, 3 sinus infections, and 4 strep-throat episodes. Babyluv is scheduled to start swim lessons in one month - I hope she will be able to participate because she is so excited about being in the pool. We bought her 6 new bathing suits...she looks absolutely adorable in a bathing suit. Gosh, I wish I could say that about myself. I definitely need to stick to one-piece bathing suits - the more material the better.
BabyLuv has grown so much and she is so much fun. Of course, she does know how to throw a really good tantrum and she has the ability to be very sassy at times. She is very strong-willed (like me). The teenage years ought to be fun. Daddyluv and I hope to have her potty trained by the end of the summer. Wish us luck...we have not had much success in that area. Any suggestions from other Mommies would be greatly appreciated. She will sit on the potty but will not put anything in the potty. She has about 20 different "big girl" panties that come decorated with Barbie, Dora the Explorer, every Disney princess you can think of, Nemo, and I almost forgot CareBears. She loves wearing them but when it is time to go potty, she cries for a diaper. She tells us when she has a dirty/wet diaper and wants to be changed immediately. However, she is totally grossed out with the thought of putting human waste in the toilet. So, we will have to wait and see. I would like for her to be potty trained by her 3rd birthday (September). I thought girls were easier to potty train than boys?!
Well, I need to go and get ready for bed. I will post later this week.
